happy nails, happy new year!

Ever since I saw this picture...

Jil Sander Spring 2001 on Le Fashion 's blog,

and then I saw her AMAZING version she got done at VALLEY NYC ...

I've been so inspired to try it out myself! Since I work in the garment district, I have access to tons of jewel vendors, so I picked up 48 tiny gems from Top Trimmings on 39th btwn 7th and 8th for $4.00. I then picked up a nice light grey polish from Forever 21, $2.80, and lastly a hardening clear polish to hold the gems on by Sally Hansen from CVS for $5.00.

I only wanted to do one nail each per hand to have a subtle sparkle and here are my results. Voila!
